FAQ
Where are my photos and videos? On iPhone, in AnyFrame's own gallery and, if the option is on (Settings → Saving), in the Photos app too. On Android, in the device gallery, in the Movies/AnyFrame and Pictures/AnyFrame folders.
Why does every capture produce two files? That is the point of the app: one 16:9 (wide) file and one 9:16 (tall) file. The format you held the phone in is kept whole; the other is cut from its centre.
Does AnyFrame send anything to the internet? No. There is no sign-up, no ads and no usage analytics, and your captures never leave the device because of the app. Details in the privacy policy.
Does the app cost anything? No. In this version everything is included: photos, videos and looks, with no sign-up and no ads.
Why does the app ask for camera, microphone, Photos and notifications? Camera for the preview and captures; microphone for the audio of videos; Photos (iPhone only, optional) to save a copy to the Photos app; notifications (Android 13 and later, optional) to show progress while the 9:16 version is made. You can change these in the system settings.
How do I delete my captures? From the in-app gallery, one at a time, or in Settings → Storage → Delete All Recordings. On iPhone, copies already in the Photos app can be removed only from Photos. On Android, captures stay in the gallery if you uninstall the app — delete them from AnyFrame first, or from the gallery afterwards.
On iPhone the app asked me to keep it open while saving. Why? iPhone only lets an app apply a look to a video while the app is on screen. If you leave midway, AnyFrame starts again when you come back; after three interruptions the video is saved without the look and the app tells you.
Which devices are supported? iPhone with iOS 16 or later, and Android 8.0 or later with a rear camera. Resolution (HD/4K) and frame-rate (24/30/60) options depend on what the device's camera offers.
